An Exciting Update: NIH Notice of Award for ASTRAL Study

Principal Investigators Pradeep Suri, MD and Janna Friedly, MD, MPH of the UW CLEAR Center have received notice of award (R34AR080279) from the NIH to design and plan a definitive, double-blind multicenter Randomized Clinical Trial of LRFA compared to a simulated Lumbar radiofrequency ablation control procedure, A Superiority Trial of Radiofrequency Ablation for Low Back Pain” (ASTRAL). This multi-center trials includes expert LRFA investigators at the University of Utah, Leland Stanford Junior University, Emory University, and Cleveland Clinic.
