We are pleased to announce the publication of CLEAR Center investigators and affiliates (Drs. Suri, Friedly, Heagerty, and Jensen) latest research in JAMA Network Open, titled “Transient and Long-Term Risks of Common Physical Activities in People With Low Back Pain”.  This study provides new insights into the short-term and long-term effects of everyday physical activities on individuals with low back pain. The findings show that while activities such as lifting, bending, and twisting may trigger short-term pain flares, they do not appear to impact long-term function, offering valuable guidance for patient care and activity management.
