Jonathan Renslo, research volunteer with the CLEAR Center’s imaging processing and machine learning group and second year medical student, presented at University of Southern California Keck Medical School, Los Angeles Medical Student Research Forum last week. His research presentation, titled “UNET for Spine Segmentation, Towards Fracture Detection“, focused on the development of a deep learning model that identified the location of vertebral bodies on lateral spine radiographs.
